FAMILY LEARNING
The Children and Youth Religious Education program seeks to support family learning beyond Sunday by providing weekly “Taking It Home” activities that offer opportunities for families to discuss, enact, and explore monthly themes all week long. Families of all structures and compositions are welcomed and supported in this community.
LIFESPAN PARTNERSHIPS
The Children and Youth Religious Education program and Adult Religious Education program often partner on shared lifespan activities. Recently, we coordinated Compassionate Communication/Heart Talk activities throughout the year at every age level. We also partner to offer Our Whole Lives (OWL) classes to cohorts from elementary to adult. This year, we have been exploring how stories touch the minds, hearts, and lives of all ages, as we all explore our monthly themes.
COMPREHENSIVE SEXUALITY EDUCATION
The Our Whole Lives (OWL) program offers progressive, comprehensive sexuality education to all ages in developmentally appropriate cohorts. On a rotating cycle, we currently offer OWL programs for grades 5-6, 7-9, 10-12, and adult.
THE LIGHTER SIDE OF LEARNING
The Adult RE Committee facilitates an informal, multigenerational UUkulele Fun Group for all levels of familiarity with the ukulele–from the “very beginner” to more “seasoned” players.
