Multigenerational
UUCH is an intentionally multigenerational community, welcoming age diversity in every aspect of church life, whether in age-based programs or activities that blend the generations.
Worship
All Sunday morning worship services begin with all ages present together, and a story or activity that centers us all on the day’s theme. Children and youth, then proceed to their religious education activities. About once a month, we intentionally have fully multigenerational worship services with creative energetic activities that engage young and old alike. These are not just services for kids, but an opportunity for us to learn together and from each other.
FAMILY LEARNING
The Children and Youth Religious Education program seeks to support family learning beyond Sunday. Families of all structures and compositions are welcomed and supported in this community.
COMPREHENSIVE SEXUALITY EDUCATION
The Our Whole Lives (OWL) program offers progressive, comprehensive sexuality education to all ages in developmentally appropriate cohorts. On a rotating cycle, we currently offer OWL programs for grades 5-6, 7-9, 10-12, and adult.
Outreach
Whether renovating a new space in the church, sprucing up the playground, dancing in the Huntsville Pride Parade, or showing up for a demonstration, all ages take seriously our commitment to making the world a place of equity and compassion.
Social Events
All church members, friends, and guests of all ages are invited to annual multigenerational social activities, including the fall Trunk or Treat, Easter Egg Hunt, Service Auction, and more.
