In our community, we believe that Black Lives Matter and that when we are made aware of injustice we need to take action. UUCH members are angered by the continued presence of the confederate monument in Downtown Huntsville because its presence memorializes a history of violence and white supremacy, and tacitly approves of the continued violence and oppression in our city. In an effort to support ongoing protests while not contributing to the spread of covid-19, we are having a Honk-Protest. Make a sign, paint your car, and join us as we honk our horns around the County Courthouse. Plan to meet at UUCH at 9:30am on October 14th and caravan over to begin our honk at 10am. For more information contact our minister, Jaimie Dingus or the Social Justice Committee. This event is led in solidarity with Black Lives Matter Huntsville.

Hosted by UUCH (Unitarian Universalist Church of Huntsville) and Gwen Summer Snow Peters
