For Visitors
Visiting Us?
We welcome all visitors to UUCH, whether you are looking for a new church home, are visiting from out of town, or are just curious.
Finding Us: We are located at 3921 Broadmor Rd. in a small neighborhood off of Oakwood Ave and Jordan Ln. Our Facility has plenty of parking and is wheelchair accessible.
Worship Services: Services begin every Sunday at 10:45 a.m. We’d love for you to attend in person, but if that’s not possible, we also offer the option of joining our services virtually on YouTube. You can join the virtual service a little before 10:45 each Sunday by clicking this link.
The format of our Sunday service is similar to many mainstream Protestant churches, in that we have traditional components like responsive readings, hymns, sometimes a choir piece, a story for children, and a sermon. Our minister preaches most Sundays but is out of the pulpit approximately once per month and for a few weeks in the summer. When our minister is out of the pulpit, we hear a sermon or talk from a guest speaker or one of our own church members.
Children and Youth Religious Education (CYRE) programs are offered each Sunday morning as well. Children and youth begin the service with their families in the sanctuary at 10:45, then attend their separate classes after the “Story for All Ages”. Nursery care is also available each Sunday for infants and toddlers through age 3 beginning at 10:30 a.m. If you’d like more information about the CYRE Program, please contact the church.
After Church: We invite you to stay for coffee, snacks, and conversation in the Fellowship Hall following the service. And on the first Sunday of each month, we invite you to stay for the potluck meal after church – there’s always plenty of food to share!
Please return several times to get a good feel for our Sunday services. Each service contains elements that are standard to our worship time together; in addition, we strive to include elements from the world’s varied cultural and religious teachings. In our efforts to be a multicultural and inclusive ministry, we hope you will find unique perspectives and thoughtful discourse.
