Our UUCH annual fundraiser service auction is coming on Saturday, November 7! Our theme is “Butterfly Ball.” We’ll have music, food, and friendly bidding for great items, events, and more. Will we top last year’s amount of $11,000? We’ll definitely have FUN trying! Below is a list of things you can do in preparation for the big event. 

Please consider donating new or gently used items or thoughtful events for our catalog. We particularly love donations of services, workshops, art classes, or dinner parties. Please donate now through November 1 using our online page:

If you have difficulty with the site, use our forms in the Fellowship Hall or email the donation information to service.auction@uuch.org. In your email, please include your contact information, a brief description of the item, estimated value, and a photo of the item. 

Seek donations from your favorite local business: 

Any business that donates to our service auction will get an advertisement in our catalog, and their donations are tax deductible! Just show them our letter available here 2026 Auction Business Donation Letter.pdf. A hard copy is also available at the church.

Register to attend: Please register now to attend our big “Butterfly Ball” Service Auction. To help with food planning, please register by Sunday, November 2 and be entered for a chance to win a door prize!  Childcare for children under 12 is available with an email to DRE@uuch.org by November 2.

Bring your donated items to the church: 

Drop off donations in the Music Room on Sundays beginning October 17 and during church office hours and auction work hours between Sunday, November 1 and Saturday, November 7 at 10:00 am. Items will be stored in the Music Room.

Auction work schedule:

• Tuesday, November 3 10:00 am to Noon
• Thursday, November 5 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
• Saturday, November 7 8:30 am to 12:30 pm
• Saturday, November 7 4:30 pm to 9 30 pm (in shifts, see the SignUpGenius)

Place your bid:

This will be a live auction event. Bidding must be done in person by the bidder or by proxy during the event. Pre-event bidding is available online at our website for the silent auction items up until the day before the event. Final bids for all items will be taken by the auction team at the event on November 7. Raffle tickets may be purchased online before the event or during the event. All winners will be announced at the auction!

Those who wish to bid but cannot attend in person are encouraged to use a proxy bidder. See Zena Tucker or email service.auction@uuch.org for assistance with a proxy bidder.
