Pride: Past, Present, Future

June is widely regarded as LGBTQ Pride Month. For many LGBTQ individuals, the notion of pride is wrapped-up in personal identity, a search for community, acceptance of self, and acceptance from loved ones.
UUCH prides itself on being a welcoming congregation and was one of the first UU churches to achieve such a designation over 20 years ago. In the years since, our congregation has continued to embrace people of all genders and sexual orientations, but we have not always been such a welcoming congregation.
Join members of UUCH, including members of Interweave and the Worship Committee, as we investigate UUCH’s past, present, and potential future efforts to address LGBTQ inclusion, as well as share our own stories of pride, struggle, and acceptance.
