Come All Who Weary

Spring is supposed to be a time of awakening after the quiet, restful months of winter. But almost no one I know feels well-rested. Hebrew Bible scholars sometimes describe the fourth commandment, to rest on the Sabbath day, as the bridge between the “loving God” and “loving neighbor” parts of the covenant. This Sunday, we will explore how we, as Unitarian Universalists, can incorporate radical rest into our own covenantal faith, understanding it as necessary before we can awaken to the presence of the divine or the injustices in our world.
