We think we know what we believe and hold to be true, but then comes a crisis of illness or death, and all bets are off! Michael Eselun, a well-known speaker and chaplain at the Simms/Mann-UCLA Center for Integrative Oncology, will explore in his talk, “Where the Theology Meets the Road”, the different ways patients’ beliefs intersect with such a crisis. Are there common themes that seem to surface from the secular and religious alike? Can we come to peace with our doubts?
