Given to Me to Do

Sunday we welcome to our pulpit the Reverend Diana Jordan Allende, the full-time settled minister of the Auburn Unitarian Universalist Fellowship since 1996. Diana is active in ministerial and social justice groups in and around her Opelika, AL home and also state-wide.

She writes: “There comes a time when most of us must assume a burden, a task, or a responsibility we’d rather not. Will we soldier on as a Stoic, rail against our fate, or find a point of acceptance? ‘This has been given to me to do,’ a UU member in a difficult place once said to me, ‘So I’m going to do it as best I can.’ Herein lies wisdom and grace all can use.”
