Harper currently serves as the Children’s and Youth Religious Education Assistant at UUCH. Dedicated to shaping a safe and lively environment for the young people of her church, on most Sunday’s you will find Harper in the R.E. Wing, managing the church nursery and assisting with weekly children’s and youth programming. In this community, Harper works to create an environment conducive to the free exploration of spiritual life and purpose that is core to our UU identity.
Harper was deeply engaged in the UUCH Religious Education Programs as a youth member, participating in district assemblies, youth conferences, OWL sessions, and many youth-led worship services. Her rich experiences with UUCH fostered in her a desire to pursue leadership roles within the faith. In 2016, she participated in a year-long emerging young adult faith development program facilitated by the UUA, inspiring her to develop young adult programming at UUCH.
Harper holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Community Health and Human Services from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In her free time, she enjoys craft projects, singing, and spending time with family.
