Erin Reid is the Director of Religious Education at UUCH, where she has served since 2007. She is currently on leave through February 15, 2020. Please contact the CYRE Assistant or the CYRE chair in her absence. Erin also serves the wider association by leading UUA Renaissance modules, including Multicultural Religious Education and Adult Faith Development and Programming. She had supported her professional religious education association as a LREDA Good Officer and has collaborated with other educators in developing original workshops and series, including an OWL 101 workshop for congregational leaders, a series for children on understanding immigration through art and activism, and a workshop for adults on writing as spiritual practice.
Erin is currently in the UUA religious education credentialing program. She has an M.A. in History, concentrating on the American anti-slavery movement, and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing. She writes fiction and poetry, and particularly enjoys co-writing worship services with youth. She believes in the power of multigenerational, multicultural faith community to learn from, love, and transform the world.
