What We Offer Through the Lifespan

We provide children, youth, and adults an opportunity to explore, reflect, and learn in a nurturing spiritual community. Unitarian Universalist religious education programs offer all ages, inspiring:

  • Ethical growth – internalizing enduring values like justice, equity, and compassion, and gaining tools to act on them in everyday life.
  • Social growth – connecting with peers and people of all ages on a deeper level and finding acceptance among people who see beyond the superficial.
  • Spiritual growth – feeling a connection with the sacred within, among, and beyond us.

Our religious education programs are more than classes. On a Sunday, you might find children singing songs about kindness, assembling meal packs for homeless outreach, or sharing about the joy of a new baby or the sorrow of a lost pet. You might see teenage youth preparing to lead a worship service, practicing the drums, or planning a donation drive for a local agency that serves children with serious illness. You might see adults engaged in lively conversation over coffee, singing in the choir, or sharing their most recent knitting creations. You might also see young adults planning where to go for lunch with their friends of all ages, a new family trying out church for the first time, a 95-year-old being greeted by a 5-year-old, or a teen discussing the monthly worship theme of “Identity” with an adult during potluck.

At UUCH we know that the entire congregation is our community of learning, and we welcome all ages in every aspect of church life. Whether in worship, music, social justice, fellowship, or care, we love being together, and we’d love you to join us.
